Computer Fundementals ACC01
66 Hours
This course is an introduction to the use of the computer in business. Students will write letters, create forms, and format documents in Microsoft Word. This course will also include creating and formatting spreadsheets in Microsoft Excel. Included in the course will be printing documents, performing basic research on the Internet and effectively using the tools available in Microsoft Internet Explorer.

Business Communications ACC02 36 Hours
Students will learn the meaning and importance of writing coherently, concisely, and with purpose using correct grammar and acceptable writing techniques. Practice in using cross-cultural awareness skills, verbal and nonverbal communication, listening skills, and professional telephone technique will also prepare the students to interact with customers, suppliers and co-workers.

Accounting For A Business Organized As A Proprietorship
ACC03 90 Hours
The participant will learn the basic principles of accounting and the basic equations for assets and liabilities. The student will also learn about debits and credits and how to record transactions in a general journal and post them to a general ledger. They will learn how to control cash and make a work sheet prior to preparing financial statements as well as recording adjusting and closing entries. The student will practice these activities using practice exercises and doing a complete practice set for a proprietorship.

Accounting For A Merchandising Business Organized As A Corporation
ACC04 90 Hours
In this class the participant will learn to journalize purchases, cash payments, sales, and cash receipts using special journals as well as posting to general and subsidiary ledgers. The student will learn to prepare a payroll, do payroll accounting, taxes, payroll reports, distribute dividends, and prepare a worksheet for a merchandising business. They will also learn to prepare financial statements for a corporation and record adjusting and closing entries for a corporation. The student will practice these activities using practice exercises and doing a complete practice set for a corporation.

Accounting For A Merchandising Business Organized As A
Corporation – Additional Valuation and Accounting Procedures ACC05 84 Hours
Students in this course will learn to do accounting for uncollectible accounts receivable, plant assets and depreciation, inventory, notes and interest, and accrued revenue and expenses. End of fiscal period work for a corporation will also be learned. The student will practice these activities using practice exercises and doing a complete practice set for a merchandising business organized as a corporation.

Microsoft Office - Intermediate
ACC08

Students
will learn intermediate functions in Microsoft Word, such as
using forms and fields and creating form letters. They will
also learn many intermediate functions in Microsoft Excel
including how to setup a workbook, perform calculations on
data, change document appearance, use filter on data, combine
data from multiple sources, reorder and summarize data,
and analyze alternative data sets. Students will also learn to
create dynamic lists using PivotTables, create charts,
printing function, automating repetitive tasks using macros,
working with other Microsoft programs, and working with
databases. Using PowerPoint students will learn to create
presentations. work with slides, work with outlines and slide
text, design templates, change color, create shapes, and
graphics. They will also learn how to create and use tables,
charts, diagrams, multimedia presentations, customizing, and
printing in PowerPoint.

Peachtree and Microsoft Small Business

In Peachtree student will learn journalizing
transactions, posting to a general ledger, bank
reconciliations, dishonored checks, petty cash transactions,
worksheets, financial statements, adjusting and closing
entries, and producing a post closing trial balance. They will
also learn journalizing purchases and cash payments, sales,
cash receipts, posting to general and subsidiary ledgers,
preparing payroll checks, journalizing and posting payroll
transactions. In Microsoft Small Business Accounting students
will learn setting up a new company, managing jobs, quotes,
sales invoices, customer payments, purchasing, paying vendors,
managing employee time and payroll, bank accounts,
transactions and reporting.

Payroll Accounting ACC10
96 Hours
Students
will learn all aspects of payroll accounting including the
need for payroll and personnel records, computing wages and
salaries, social security taxes, withholding taxes,
compensation taxes, analyzing and journalizing payroll
transactions, and completing an entire payroll project
simulation. Student will learn all applicable payroll and
labor law regulations.

Personal Development ACC07
24 Hours
This course enables the student to develop the ability to work as a team member, manage time effectively, and prioritize and perform multiple tasks. The students will practice practical applications of job hunting, resume writing, interviewing, setting career goals, and networking.
